Personal Values Vs Organisational Values -based on Kouzes & Posner and Astrology:
Before we come to Kouzer & Posner study 2008 about to become a leader in an organisation and to influence others,since vedas are top most school of knowledge ( infact wisdom), we discuss astrology ( limb of vedas) first. As per Astrology to become a Leader ( or Team Leader) a Greater Strength in Uccha Bala( Exaltation strenghth of planet) for Sun is required. Uccha Bala for Sun can make you a leader in any field. The Sthanbala (Positional strength) should also not be less than 165 shashtiamsha. In which the Uccha Bala ( exaltation strength) of Sun should go very high. This is an astrological dictum for leadership.

The striking about this data is that organisation value has little significance in Leadership/Engagement. So Focus on your Personal Values/Leadership.

Words and Pose of questioning is very much important in leadership. Your language reflects how you think about others . Avoid words that focuses on hierarchy( Such as calling boss, employee, rank-and-file approach, top-down managerial practice, girl-boy-transgender difference). Instead use words that focus on relationships ( like associates, officer, colleagues, team member).
Avoid bad pose of questions ( very commonly found ). For example, ask what do you need that we can provide so you can finish the project/sales? to emphasize collaboration, rather than “why haven’t you finished the project?” which emphasizes blame.
Team Leader is like a Catalyst in a chemical reaction. It is not a reactant, it is helping the atoms ( your team members)to overcome the energy barrier-( to reach your organisation goal) for a chemical reaction (results) to occur. And the catalyst is never used up in a chemical reaction. The Team leader is active at all times and never used up by team members. Leader helps the team members to achieve the organisation goal.
Or in other words, you can compare Team Leader as a Autotrophs (Producer) and Team Members as Heterotrophs (they consume the energy from producer to reach the organisation goal). So, Team Leader should be inspirational- energy giving -so everyone is motivated. It is a Skill. It is a relationship. And be honest, honesty is a personal quality more than a professional love.
